Ordering Articles within an Ovid Search Made Easier

We have made ordering articles from our Ovid MEDLINE and PsycINFO databases easier. If our holdings note indicates that we do not own the journal, click on the new blue “Order It @ Sladen” button, log into your ILLiad account, and the order form will automatically be filled in with the citation information. Just click on “Submit” and the article will be ordered and delivered to your account. This new button saves time and eliminates a few mouse clicks.

Ordering articles within a PubMed search is easy too. Click on the red “Find It @ Sladen” button located in the top right corner of the screen to check whether we own the journal. If we do not own it, click on the GO button for ILLiad, login in, and the order form will auto-populate.

If we own the journal, but only in print, you can still order it via ILLiad and it will be scanned and sent to your account. All articles are sent as PDF files and will remain in your account for 30 days. If it is an article you want to keep, it must be saved to disk or drive.

All articles are $3.00 each and may be pre-paid in cash, or charged to your department’s cost center number.

If you need to set-up your ILLiad account, please go to, ILLiad (or tinyurl.com/sladendoc) as a “First Time User.”

Contact the Sladen Document Services Department at 313-916-8752, or email docsvs@hfhs.org, if you have any questions or concerns regarding ordering articles within a database.
